Proceeds to benefit local ALS Clinic and The ALS Association
Eight (8) high school baseball teams from Central New York have been selected to participate in this annual event.
Why: Several coaches wanted to do something special to highlight the great high school baseball in the area, while raising the necessary funds to benefit The local ALS clinic located at SUNY Upstate Medical University. ALS has impacted many families in this area and what better way to raise awareness and funds to find the cure for a disease
that took away Lou Gehrig much too early from our national pastime. All proceeds from the gate will go to the aforementioned ALS organization. The student athletes from the eight teams will be selling bracelets prior to the event as part of our “$2 for Lou” program. Last year they raised over $5000 on the bracelets alone.
Game times:
Alliance Bank Stadium on Friday, April 30:
Utica Notre Dame vs. New Hartford -4 p.m.
Bishop Ludden v. Westhill – 7 p.m.
Alliance Bank Stadium on Saturday, May 1:

Highlights: Student athletes are selling ALS bracelets during the months of March & April, Strike Out Lou Gehrig’s Disease Baseball Classic committee members are selling raffle tickets, corporate sponsors are
contributing and all ticket sales at the gate go to the local ALS Clinic at Upstate Medical University. The participating players will each receive a tournament t-shirt, meet an ALS family, meet a member of the clinic and be treated to food and beverage after each game. Last year’s event raised over $10,000 for ALS.
