West Phoenix Fire contract approved
After holding a public hearing at the beginning of the Monday Jan. 25 board meeting, Lysander officials approved a one-year contract in the amount of $88,156.96 with the Enterprise Fire Company No. 1 for fire protection services in the West Phoenix Fire Protection District.

Comptroller David J. Rahrle will attend the NYS Government Finance Officer’s Association Annual Conference in Albany from March 24 to 26 at a cost of $457, which includes conference registration, meals and lodging.
Town Clerk Lisa Dell attended the Department of State Passport Acceptance Agent Training course Jan. 28 at a cost of $80.99, which includes lodging (training is free).
Parks and Recreation employees Ann Smiley and Tony Burkinshaw will attend the annual New York State Recreation and Park Society Conference March 21 to 24 at the Saratoga Hilton at a cost of $657 each, which includes lodging, registration and meals.
All items were budgeted and the town will reimburse any other incidental expenses for the above training at actual cost.
Planning Board members Owen Densk, Karen Rice, Joanne Daprano, Frank Costanzo, Don Power and Hugh Kimball will attend the Onondaga County Planning Federation Annual Training Symposium March 4 at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center in Syracuse at a cost of $65 each.
Utilities installed
Lysander officials approved the installation of two hydrants in Giddings Crest by Onondaga County Water Authority.
Lysander officials also approved the installation of one streetlight by National Grid at the intersection of Drakes Landing and River Grove Trail in Radisson in the amount of $759.98.
