The Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce has announced they will host a State of the Area Forum on Tuesday Jan. 12 in the Cazenovia College Dining Hall. Cazenovia Mayor Tom Dougherty, Cazenovia Town Supervisor Ralph Monforte, Nelson Town Supervisor Roger Bradstreet, Fenner Town Supervisor Russ Cary and Cazenovia Central School District Superintendent Robert Dubik will each make a brief presentation about issues and concerns in their respective areas during the past year and what is on the horizon for 2010 followed by a question and answer period. The public is encouraged to attend.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and beverages followed by the program at 6:45 p.m. Cost is $15 per person. Advance reservations are required by Friday Jan. 8.
This is an excellent opportunity for Chamber members and the community at large alike to hear about what has transpired in their respective community in the past year, what the economy has been like, what projects were undertaken or are underway, and what challenges were met or are on the horizon. It will also give these municipal leaders an opportunity to communicate goals and ambitions for 2010.
