Future of Van Buren P&C
Councilor Mary Frances Sabin recently noted concern about the state of Penn Traffic and the possibility of losing P&C in River Mall. She said she and Supervisor Claude Sykes have been in contact with local grocery stores and the town board is taking whatever action it can to ensure the town continues to offer a local grocery store.
It should be noted that Van Buren’s other grocery store, the Big M in Seneca Knolls, is business as usual as it is privately owned.
Lesniak named majority floor leader
Onondaga County Legislature Richard Lesniak has been named the new majority floor leader in the legislature. Lesniak represents the first district, which includes residents in the town of Lysander and part of the town of Clay.
