Baldwinsville Superintendent Jeanne Dangle and Steven McMahon look over a copy of McMahon’s new book, “Lysander Goes to School: A History of the Rural Schools of the Town of Lysander, NY, in Images & Interviews.” McMahon generously donated copies of his book for each of the eight schools in the Baldwinsville Central School District. A native of Baldwinsville, McMahon writes a local history column for the Messenger. His first book, “Outstanding on his Head: The Extraordinary Life and Times of Arthur Reeves of Lysander, New York, and Draycott, England,” was published in 2008.
