Baldwinsville girls golfer Lauren Petty nearly went to the top of the standings during Thursday’s Section III tournament at Rogues Roost’s West Course.
Petty covered 18 holes in 76, five over part, which gave her a tie for second with Alex Seabury (Fayetteville-Manlius), two shots behind the winner, East Syracuse-Minoa’s Brittany Siechen.
By doing so, Petty qualified to be part of the nine-girls Section III roster that will play this Saturday and Sunday in the state championship tournament at Foxfire.
B’ville finished fourth in the Division I team standings with 377. CBA won with 350 as F-M (361) and Auburn (363) took second and third, respectively.
Elsewhere for the Bees, Jamie Schmidt tied for 15th place, shooting a 90, while Marissa McLean posted a 97 to share 22nd place.
