The Baldwinsville Volunteer Recruitment Fair will offer one-stop shopping for those who want to better serve their community. Sponsored by the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center, it will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday April 30 at the Baker High School cafeteria.
More than 25 different local community services will be at the fair, telling the stories of their organization’s work and how fairgoers can contribute their time or talents to making a difference.
“Our goal is to encourage community involvement by connecting people who would like to become volunteers with the community service organizations and non-profit groups who rely on volunteers to continue the wonderful work they do,” said Nancy Conley, executive director of the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center. “If you have been asking yourself, ‘How can I make a difference in my community?,’ this is the place to discover the answers.”
Fair participants include Baldwinsville Public Library, Baldwinsville Theatre Guild, Baldwinsville Visitor’s Center, Beaver Lake Nature Center, B’ville Express, Canton Woods Senior Center, Female Charitable Society, Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, Lions Camp Hickory, Liverpool Elks Club, McHarrie’s Legacy, Meals on Wheels, PAC-B TV, Park Terrace Assisted Living Facility, PEACE Inc., Rescue Mission, Rotary Club, Silver Fox Senior Social Club, Spay & Neuter Syracuse, Sunshine Friends Inc., Syracuse Home Association, Vera House and the Volunteer Center.
