The village of Baldwinsville has proclaimed April 1, 2009 Clara Brauksieck Farrell Day.
Born April 1, 1909, Clara will celebrate her 100th birthday today at Syracuse Home. She attended the South Side school on Canton Street and later taught at Spragueville Rural School. She also spent many years as an election worker and helped her husband Kenn Farrell with the business he helped found, Farrell Plumbing & Heating.
Clara is a member of First Baptist and a charter and life member of the Baldwinsville Fire Department and Auxiliary. On most days, she can be found greeting visitors in her pink chair in the east wing of Syracuse Home.
