Local restaurant Nirchi’s closed its doors on Jan. 9.
“Restaurants are a risky business, and no matter how hard we tried we just were not able to make that particular restaurant work in the location we were in,” said Sarah Roche.
Roche was the manager of Nirchi’s. According to Roche, she and owner Thomas Nirch had to close because of high overhead and the recent economic downturn.
“Tom and I loved the restaurant and Cazenovia, and had hoped to start our lives there,” said Roche.
Nirchi’s opened in July 2007.
