While West Genesee and Jordan-Elbridge school districts are in good standing according to their New York State 2006-07 report cards, WG test results did not meet criterion for students with disabilities.
However, because of other criteria, the district is considered to have reached overall Adequate Yearly Performance (AYP) in this category.
In all other categories, both districts met or exceeded AYP and are ranked in good standing on federal and state levels.
Enrollment at WG increased to 5,172 students for the 2006-07 school year, up for the third year in a row. The average class size in the district is 21 students, with 8% eligible for free lunch.
At J-E, enrollment fell to 1,640 students, down nearly 40 students from the previous year. Average class size is 20 students, with 18% of students eligible for free lunch.
