Essential to the Syracuse area ‘Cuse Camps is the desire to give back to surrounding communities. For the month of November, the Liverpool ‘Cuse Camp decided to donate pantry items to the Baldwinsville Christmas Bureau and to Sandwich Saturdays (We Rise Above the Streets).
In December our boot campers and staff adopted three families registered through the Christmas Bureau and provided more than 70 items to help fulfill wish lists. Some of us also went to the Baldwinsville Christmas Bureau and helped fill stockings for the children.
When we brought our donations to the Christmas Bureau, Lauri Bernstein, director, gave us a tour of the facility. We were so impressed and hope to help out again next year. Liverpool ‘Cuse Camp is located on Route 57 in Liverpool.
