The Dewitt Police are attempting to identify a suspect passing fraudulent bills, please see the attached photographs of the suspect and the description of the incidents below:
On April 09th, 2019, the pictured suspect passed two counterfeit $100.00 (one hundred dollar bills) at the Wegman’s on James Street). On April 24th, 2019, the same suspect attempted to pass a third counterfeit $100.00 (one hundred dollar bill) at the same Wegman’s but was stopped before the transaction was completed Loss prevention followed the suspect out of the store and through the parking lot, but the suspect left on foot in an unknown direction. On April 9, the suspect was observed wearing a red baseball cap, blue coat, dark colored pants and white sneakers. On April 24, the suspect was wearing a dark colored NY Yankees hat, a black jacket with a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and white sneakers.
