Manlius — The Manlius Historical Society will be holding its annual Festival of Miniature Trees fundraiser from Nov. 20 to Dec. 11 at a new site this year — the Stickley, Audi & Co. showroom at 300 Towne Center in Fayetteville.
Thanks to the gracious hospitality of Stickley, Audi & Co., the Manlius Historical Society said it was able to expand the number of decorated trees on display and available for bidding to almost 60 this year. Community volunteers and organizations have created dazzling displays for every taste and budget.
A special preview party is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20 at the showroom, where wine, refreshments and music will be provided while attendees participate in a silent auction of the trees, which are decorated by community groups and organizations.
Admission for the event is free, but the historical society asks attendees donate canned fruit, which will be brought to the FM Community Outreach in memory of community volunteer Sue Landas, who helped for the organization.
This year’s Festival of Miniature Trees received the sponsorship support of the Shops at Limestone, Key Bank of Fayetteville and Syracuse Haulers. Their combined generosity underwrote all of the expenses for this fundraiser, so that all proceeds will benefit the Historical Society.
