Voters in the Baldwinsville Central School District overwhelmingly approved the 2016-17 school budget Tuesday, May 17.
The $103,648,420 budget was accepted by a margin of 977 to 306. Voters also okayed a $1,062,002 bus purchase proposition by a vote of 992 to 291.
The budget calls for a 1.1 percent increase in the tax levy, which means taxpayers in the district will pay $26.18 more per $100,000 of assessed value.
In addition, voters chose to keep the three incumbents on the board, with 1,014 votes going to Victor Jenkins, 923 to Joan Reeves and 922 to Steven Schweitzer. Challenger James Stewart received 691 votes. Jenkins, Reeves and Schweitzer will serve three-year terms.
