On back-to-back days, the Cicero-North Syracuse and Liverpool bowling teams both would take on Baldwinsville — and both would earn sweeps.

Going first, the Northstars topped the Bees Wednesday in a pair of 3-0 sweeps. Derek Joss led the CNS boys with a 246 high game and 659 series, with Jeff Chapman adding a 649 set that included a 243 high game.

Meanwhile, the CNS girls saw Sarah Felix break through with a 249 game that led her to a 622 series, as Becca Olivadoti (541 series) offered ample support. CNS overcame the Bees’ Anne Peterson and her 648 series.

Then Liverpool took its turn at B’ville on Thursday afternoon, and while it proved closer, both sets of Warriors earned 2-1 victories.

Tim Durham helped the Liverpool boys hang on with a 624 series, while Alex DiGenaro contributed a 620 series. Both of them had high games of 237.

In the girls match, as Peterson struck again (608 series), the Warriors displayed more depth as Emily Piraino worked her way to a 571 series (215 high game) and Mary Townley parlayed a 229 game into a 546 series.

Before this, the Warriors split with Henninger on Wednesday, losing 2-1 on the girls side despite Townley’s 540 series as Meghan Krasinski (577 series) led the Black Knights along. In the boys Warriors’ 3-0 sweep, DiGenaro had a 635 series (232 high game) and Kyle Wilcox stepped up with a three-game total of 628.

CNS retreated a bit on Thursday, falling to Rome Free Academy in a pair of 2-1 matches. The boys Northstars saw Jeff Chapman shoot a 278 game on his way to a 696 series, while Derek Joss got a 680 set and Tom Rogalski rolled a 248 in his 641 set. Seth Abel (672 series) and Travis Holmes (655 series) led RFA’s winning effort.

Meanwhile, the girls Northstars had Felix post a 590 series, with a 214 high game, while Chelsea Fox rolled a 230 during her 570 set and Olivadoti got a 565 series. RFA saw Sarah Foley (599 series, 237 high game), Alexis Zakala (585 series) and Olivia Bodley (567 series) bowl well.
