CAZENOVIA — Last week, the Madison County Board of Elections announced the official results of the June 21 Cazenovia Village Elections.
Voters elected Maureen Fellows and Kathy Wooster Hahn to the office of village trustee and D. Christian Fischer to the office of village justice.
Fellows and Hahn both ran on the Democratic (DEM) line and the Strong Community Party (SC) line, and Fischer ran on the Republican (REP) and Conservative (CON) lines. All three candidates ran unopposed.
Fellows was reelected to her position, which she has held since 2016, with 54 votes on the DEM line and 13 on the SC line. Hahn, a newcomer, was elected to her seat on the board with 50 votes on the DEM line and 14 on the SC line.
Voters also cast one write-in and 16 blank votes. The trustees’ terms expire June 30, 2024.
Fischer was reelected with 27 votes on the REP line, eight votes on the CON line, one write-in, and 38 blanks. His term expires June 30, 2026.
“I would like to congratulate Kathy Hahn on her election to the village board as well as Trustee Fellows and Judge Fischer on being re-elected,” said Mayor Kurt Wheeler. “On behalf of everyone in the village, thank you to all three for stepping up to serve our community.”
