The FM-JD Meals on Wheels organization is partnering with Carrabba’s Italian Grill to sponsor an all-day event on Election Day, Nov. 8, at DeWitt Community Church, 3600 Erie Blvd E., Syracuse. They will be serving a continental breakfast from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. for early voters, and then moving to the annual pasta dinner running from noon to 8 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at the church.
FM-JD Meals on Wheels volunteers will begin the day with an a la carte breakfast service of assorted pastries and bagels with cream cheese, fruit, juice, coffee, tea and cocoa. The dinner meal, prepared and served by Carrabba’s Italian Grill, will begin at noon with the traditional spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and dessert, as well as water, milk, lemonade, coffee and tea. The cost for dinner is $8 for adults, $6 for those 65 or older and $4 for children 8 and under. Dine-in or take-out available.
All are invited to partake of the meals, whether DCC is their polling place or not. All proceeds benefit the FM-JD Meals on Wheels program.
