The Burns Sisters, The Spirit of Syracuse Chorus and The Symphoria Quartet to perform in Cazenovia
Cazenovia College’s Catherine Cummings Theatre will celebrate the holiday season with three upcoming concerts. The concerts feature varied musical styles, including, The Burns Sisters on Saturday, Dec. 10; the Spirit of Syracuse Chorus on Sunday, Dec. 11; and the Symphoria Quartet on Sunday, Dec. 18.
The theater is located at 16 Lincklaen St., in Cazenovia.
The Burns Sisters are an American folk music group from Ithaca known for their tight harmonies. They have shared the stage with many great folk legends including Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Willie Nelson, and even the Boston Pops. The group has performed and recorded in various sibling constellations, currently consisting of sisters Marie and Annie.
The concert will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, in the Catherine Cummings Theatre. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at Cazenovia Jewelry or by calling 655-7827. The Spirit of Syracuse Chorus will perform a collection of Christmas-time favorites, both new and old, all sung in four-part a cappella harmony. Special guest performers include the Liverpool-based Barbershop Harmony Society chorus, the Harmonic Collective and the brand new Sweet Adelines International youth chorus, Scarlet.
Formed in 1957, the Spirit of Syracuse is a chorus of more than 80 diverse women from all over Central New York who sing four-part a cappella barbershop harmony. In their 60-year history, the chorus has thrilled audiences throughout the region, and across North America, with their energetic and powerful performances.

The Symphoria Quartet is a smaller ensemble from Symphoria, which is composed of a diverse group of talented musicians hailing from all across the globe, bringing with them a breadth of musical talent that extends far beyond the Syracuse community.
