Cazenovia — Auditions have been held and rehearsals are well underway as the Cazenovia High School Drama Club prepares for their staging of “Footloose,” the musical.
Based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford, with music by Tom Snow and lyrics by Don Pitchford, “Footloose” is a dynamic and fun story of teenaged rebellion and family redemption. In addition to the music of Snow, additional songs in the score are written by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins and Jim Steinman.
“Footloose” performances will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 3, 4 and 5. The curtain will go up at 4 p.m. on Thursday and 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Cazenovia senior citizens (age 62 and up) may attend the Thursday, March 3, performance free of charge. All other seats for that performance and the evening shows are $10. Reserve seating will go on sale Monday, Feb. 1.
