Halloween is Tuesday, Oct. 31, but if one day just isn’t enough to contain your spooky spirit, there are plenty of hayrides, ghostwalks and other spooky pursuits this October. Read on for our top Halloween haunts:
Chuck Hafner’s Fall Festival
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends) daily through Oct. 22 at Chuck Hafner’s, 7265 Buckley Road, North Syracuse
This weekend is the last chance to visit Chuck Hafner’s Fall Festival. Enjoy pony and wagon rides, food trucks, a straw maze and more. Many activities are free, but some Fall Festival attractions require the purchase of tickets. Visit chuckhafner.com/fall-festival for more information.
Tales from CNY Ghost Hunters
7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30 at the Liverpool Public Library, 310 Tulip St., Liverpool.
Ask questions of the area’s premier paranormal experts. They’ll share their stories and show you evidence from their past travails. To learn more about their mission, visit gotghosts.org.
Halloween Spooktacular at Driver’s Village
5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Driver’s Village
Avoid last-minute costume weather-proofing — Spider-Man and Elsa look much better without raincoats or snow boots — and trick or treat inside at Driver’s Village. Compete in the costume contest (age groups are 0 to 4 years old, 5 to 8 years old and 9 and older) at 6:30 p.m. or make a memento of your time at the Spooktacular in the photo booth.
