The Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) in Brewerton has partnered with Rosie’s Corner and The Brown Brothers for a special Cruise Night on Wednesday, June 29, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Cruise Night will serve as the inaugural event for NOPL’s brand new Pop-up Library. The vehicle serves as a mini library branch where visitors can register for library cards, browse and check out best-sellers and DVDs, see technology demonstrations and enjoy children’s story times and crafts.
The Brown Brothers will take the stage from 6 to 8 p.m., performing classic rock and pop favorites from bands like The Eagles, The Allman Brothers, Zac Brown Band, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eric Clapton and more. The music is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Friends of NOPL at Brewerton.
The Cruise Night series is hosted by Rosie’s Corner eatery and is in its second year.
“My father owns a classic car, so Cruise Night gives us a chance to show it off,” remarked Jason Brommer, the owner of Rosie’s Corner. “But the idea for Cruise Night really came from our desire to draw the community together and bring people into Brewerton.”
On average, 50 to 60 classic cars grace Route 11 and Bennett Street every Wednesday evening throughout the summer during the event.
Come join NOPL, Rosie’s Corner and The Brown Brothers at this fun event the whole family can enjoy!
Cruise night is free to attend, and anyone arriving in a classic car will be treated to a free small ice cream cone, courtesy of Rosie’s Corner.
