ONONDAGA COUNTY – Bowling teams from Cicero-North Syracuse and Liverpool met one another for the first time this winter last Wednesday afternoon at Strike-N-Spare Lanes, and both matches would go in the Northstars’ favor by 7-0 margin.
The boys match featured Jason Krausnick leading the C-NS push. He shot games of 257 and 247 following an opening 191 to finish with a three-game total of 695.
Jacob Calabria, Garrett Arnold and Tom O’Connell each had their best games in the third. Meanwhile, the girls match between C-NS and Liverpool had the Northstars’ Melody Schwartz lead her side with a 500 series that had games of 178 and 171, while Trinity Short’s 188 game led her to a 476 series.
Individually, the best game went to the Warriors’ Sara Conover, who opened with a 214 on her way to a three-game total of 487, but none of her Liverpool teammates had a series better than Alainna Deyneka’s 323 series.
A day later, the C-NS boys faced Fayetteville-Manlius at Green Lakes Lanes and pulled out a 5-2 decision over the Hornets to improve its overall record to 4-1.
A 245 and 215 helped Bachmann to a 646 series, just ahead of Arnold, who shot 192, 240 and 209 in his 641 series. Calabria closed with a 236 in his 572 set and O’Connell had a 227 on his way to a 535 series.
