SYRACUSE – Notching points in all but one event, the Cicero-North Syracuse girls indoor track and team topped all others, including Liverpool, during Saturday’s afternoon session of the George Constantino Memorial Invitational at SRC Arena.
All told, the Northstars had 185 points, with the Warriors’ total of 111 points well clear of third-place Fulton, who had 73.75 points.
Hannah Boyle, already posting of the nation’s fastest times in the 600-meter run, won here for C-NS in one minute, 35.38 seconds as Katy Harbold was second in 1:45.45.
Kate Putman tore to a time of 4:42.57 to win the 1,500-meter run over teammate Sophia Graham (4:58.98) in second place. Then Gabby Putman won at 3,000 meters in 10:24.73, with Allison Navarra third.
Marissa Navarra was victorious in the 1,000-meter run in 3:11.93 as Ava Fisher was second in 3:22.44 before the 4×800 where Boyle, Harbold and the Putman sisters won in 9:24.71, with Liverpool (11:03.29) second.
Lilly Capria, clearing 5 feet 2 inches, was victorious in the high jump and also claimed the triple jump with 33’9″, ahead of GIanna Boland in fifth place.Jasmine Ayre gave C-NS a winning long jump of 15’4 3/4″, with Grace Murray fourth.
Sophia Graham, Molly McGrath, Elizabeth Smith and Elianna Ballagh went 4:26.43 in the 4×400 relay to beat out the 4:30.17 from Liverpool’s Sophia Jarosz, Ashlyn Brown, Kaitlyn Burt and Sophie Hoy. Kaleigh Boismenu won the pole vault, clearing 6’6″.
Marissa Doty was second in the 300-meter dash in 43.35 seconds, with Hannah Reichard fifth in the 1,000. Shae Marryah Williams was third (28’6″) and Maria Sanfilippo fourth (26’5 1/2″) in the shot put as Ava Schiff finished sixth in the shot put.
Liverpool got a win from Beatrize Gogol, who covered the 55-meter hurdles in 10.03 seconds to edge, among others, Murray in third (10.07) and Danielle Crivelli (10.31) as Grace Velesky was fifth for the Warriors in 10:42. Gurgol also was third in the long jump with 14’8 1/2″ and sixth in the high jump.
Jarosz, Mia Wright, Caitlyn Guilfoil and Anaharie Anderson tore to victory in the 4×200 relay in 1:53.64. Individually, Wright sped to second in the 55-meter dash in 7.76 seconds, with Guilfoil third in 8.00 as Jarosz went 43.95 seconds in the 300 to finish third.
Addison Miles was second in the 3,000 (12:05.50) behind Gabby Putman as Kaitlin Hotaling finished fourth. Taylor Page took third in the 600 in 1:51.84 as Kaleigh Buck finished fourth in the 1,000. Ariyah Racciatti was fourth in the shot put with 24’5 1/4″, with Trinity Howard (24′ 1/4″) fifth.
In the boys Constantino meet, Liverpool had 93.5 points to C-NS’s 89, gaining second place behind the winning total of 155 points put up by Marcellus, with a highlight coming in the weight throw where Jalen Graham, with a toss of 56’5 3/4″, beat the field by more than 14 feet.
Ryan Hagan won for the Warriors in the 1,600-meter run in 4:25.36, more than 10 seconds ahead of the field, with Jacob Makhlouf going 10:43.25 for a victory in the 3,200-meter run, where Jack Sherlock (11:11.34) was fourth and J.T. Goss finished sixth.
Ayush Patel, Jeff Sydney, Daunte Wright and Maltrin Ramadani got Liverpool a win in the 4×400 in 3:57.80 ahead of the 4:00.39 from C-NS’s Liam Adams, Jackson Petzoldt, Amari Stephens and Jacob Klasen.
And in the 4×800, the Warriors had Gavin Kenna, Joshua Vang, Michael Purvis and Austin Ziegler go 9:19.50 to beat the Northstars’ second-place 9:37.42. The Warriors, in 1:41.63, beat out the 1:44.87 from the Northstars for third place in the 4×200.
Nathan Napiorkowski put together a second-place shot put toss of 34’5″, just behind the 34’5 3/4″ from Onondaga’s Derek Lyons as Andrew Tauro finished seventh.
Carlton Garnes won twice for C-NS, going 8.33 seconds to take the 55 hurdles and unleashing a top triple jump of 39’5″. In the long jump, Garnes took third place with 18’8 1/2″. Aidan Wheeler cleared 5’3″ to finish second in the high jump as Gavin Goettel took sixth place.
Dante Melfi went 1:29.46 to prevail in the 600 as Jake Roman finished sixth. Trevon Walker took third in the 55 sprint in 7.05 seconds, two spots ahead of Liverpool’s LaQuan Lemon, while Sean Graves was fourth in the 55 hurdles.
