A whole lot was at stake last Tuesday when the Baldwinsville bowling teams went up against Liverpool, especially with the girls teams perched atop the SCAC Metro division standings.
In that portion, the Bees shut out the Warriors 5-0, leaving both sides with 8-2 records as B’ville got a total pinfall of 2,786 to Liverpool’s 2,439.
On her home lanes at B’ville Sports Bowl, Julia Spiech led with games of 196, 209 and 220 during her 625 series, while Amelia Ponto opened with 221 and moved on to a three-game total of 610.
Madison Hass shot two games of 187 plus a 184 in her 558 series, while Jenna Spiech had a 520 series (196 high game) and Jenna Hierholzer contributed a 473 set. Liverpool got a 508 series from Dominique Cimini and a 502 series from Makenzi Ormsby.
Meanwhile, in the boys match between B’ville and Liverpool, the Bees, with a pinfall of 2,961, nearly matched the Warriors’ 3,081, but still lost a 4-1 decision.
Tanner Rozyczko started with a 249 and finished with a 214 in his 658 series. Dylan Williams closed with a 220 in his 604 set, while Dylan Love opened with a 220 in his 586 series.
Eric Hildreth (562 series) and Zach Evans (551 series) were close behind, while for Liverpool Josh Winzens shot 245, 213 and 237 in his 695 series, helped by Dylan Roberson (624 series) and Zak Ormsby (601 series), plus a 588 series from Brandon Davis.Both of B’ville’s teams would earn impressive sweeps over West Genesee on Friday afternoon.
In the boys 3-0 win, Love shot an opening game of 266 and Eric Hildreth had a 255 game. Playing all three games, Rozyczko went 227, 234 and 214 for a 675 series as Williams opened with a 235 in his 602 set.
The girls Bees would prevail 3-0 over the Wildcats as Ponto improved throughout the match from a 187 to a 209 to a finishing 233 in her 629 series. Julia Spiech added a 180 during her 471 set.
Each of B’ville’s teams have matches this week against Fayetteville-Manlius and Cicero-North Syracuse.
