Liverpool won again on Thursday night, venturing to Fairport and, by dominating the higher weight classes, rallying from an early deficit to get a 44-31 win over the Red Raiders.
Jacob Ianno’s pin of Danny Hagreen opened the match. Fairport then won five straight bouts before Chris Ianno’s 13-1 romp over Matt Buttarazzi turned things around.
Gatewood handled Jackson Eigg 11-1 before three consecutive pins from John Worthen (195), Ronan and Williams-Borges, who moved up to 285 and pinned Omar Al-Jendari. Jeremy Ianno finished the meet at 120 pounds by pinning Brady Steingass.
Cicero-North Syracuse had an important week that culminated Saturday with hosting the annual Andersen Tournament, featuring a field of 15.
Three nights earlier, C-NS faced Adirondack and earned 42 points from seven forfeits, the benefit of a full roster the difference in defeating the Wildcats 66-22.
In the contested bouts, Vincent Cicciarelli opened at 138 pounds by pinning Braden Pridgeon in the second period as Adam Brown (152) needed just 24 seconds to pin Aaron Dailey.

Then it was on to the Andersen Tournament, where C-NS would pick up 74 points, putting them 11th out of 19 teams as Peru (162 points) and Windsor (137 points) finished in front and Marcellus (107.5 points) was the top Section III side.
