Even with all of the bad weather in April, the Skaneateles boys tennis team has stayed relatively busy, at least in terms of getting in its OHSL Liberty division matches.
Two more contests took place late last week, but the Lakers were only able to earn a single point in them, falling 5-0 to Westhill and taking a 4-1 defeat to Manlius-Pebble Hill.
The Westhill match saw Jack Belinski get close in both sets of singles, but lose to David Bleskoski 6-4, 6-4, with Dan Judge falling to Mike Ferrera 6-4, 6-1 as Duncan Raddant had a 6-3, 6-0 loss to Jackson Bradley.
Moving to doubles, Nate Fouts and Andrew Neumann lost to the Warriors’ Tom Chaddock and Ryan Rolince 6-2, 6-2. Chris Burgher and Anthony Panasci had a 6-0, 6-2 defeat to Connor Mahoney and Nick Sauro.
At least a point was gained against MPH, in doubles, though in another doubles match Neumann and Panasci went to three sets before taking a 6-3, 5-7, 10-5 loss to Jeff Bush and Camden Ciotoli.
Off during the school break, Skaneateles would resume its season April 30 against Bishop Grimes, also meeting Chittenango and Phoenix that week.
