Still placed at no. 13 in the latest state Division I rankings, the Baldwinsville ice hockey intended to improve upon that mark through its trio of games as the schedule finally picked up.
Hosting Fulton last Tuesday at Lysander Ice Arena, the Bees toyed with the Red Raiders, steadily producing goals throughout the night on the way to a 9-1 victory.
Unlike some lopsided games that include early outbursts, B’ville converted three times in each period against Fulton, with eight different players netting goals. Only Mark Monaco found the net twice, adding a pair of assists.
Parker Schroeder notched three assists to go with his lone tally. Jamey Natoli had a goal and two assists, with Isaiah Pompo and Anthony Pompo each getting one goal and one assist.
Single goals also went to Tanner McCaffrey, Ben Dwyer and Cam Sweeney, with Alex Schmidt, Ryan Muscatello, Mike Marsallo and Brett Sabourin picking up single assists.
Weather kept the Bees from playing in a tournament at Ogdensburg last weekend, so the scramble to make up games continues as B’ville hosts Fairport this Saturday after a Tuesday trip north to face Watertown IHC.
