B’ville boys bowlers find victories

A road victory was attained by the Baldwinsville boys bowling team last Tuesday afternoon when it went to Flamingo Bowl and picked up a 2-1 decision over the Liverpool Warriors.

Jarrod Williams led the Bees by shooting a steady three-game total of 668, with no game higher than 234. Jarod Napiorkowski earned a 612 series and high game of 224. On Liverpool’s side, Brandon Davis had a 245 game and 642 series, while Austin Dearborn’s 236 game led to a 608 set.

Moving to the girls match, B’ville was facing a Liverpool team atop the CNY Counties League standings, and it couldn’t take a point from the Warriors in a 3-0 defeat.

Hannah Pinard still had a 203 game and a 517 series, while Brooke Flask had a 476 series and high game of 168. A steady Liverpool effort included a 525 series from Dailyn McCarthy, a 522 series from Ashley Hardy and a 507 set from Danielle Mahar.

All of this followed a Dec. 30 match between Baldwinsville and Cicero-North Syracuse at B’ville Sports Bowl, where the Bees took a split.

The boys lost, 3-0, though Williams earned a 633 series and 244 high game and Tanner Rozycko’s 235 game led to a 623 set. No other B’ville player was close to those marks, while C-NS had Tim Cloonan shoot a 711 series with a 257 high game and Josh Cloute added a three-game total of 644.  Tyler Dottolo shot a 260 high game.

During the girls 3-0 match, Brooke Flask shot a 555 series, with a high game of 216. Hannah Pinard’s 178 game led to a 443 set, one pin better than Taylor Savage’s 432 series, though Savage did manage a 187 high game.

Exactly one week later, the B’ville boys defeated Fayetteville-Manlius 2-1 at Green Lakes Bowl. Williams remained strong with his 630 series and 234 high game, with Rozycko getting to a 600 series helped by a 217 high game. Garrett Roziock had a 553 series (194 high game) and Napiorkowski shot 200 on his way to a 532 set.
