Stone Quarry Hill Art Park encourages kite enthusiasts both young and old to join them from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, for the Art Park’s annual Kite Fest. Enjoy professional kite flying demonstrations by the New York Kite Enthusiasts as you picnic on the Stone Quarry Hill. Bring your own kite, purchase one at the event or get crafty at the make-your-own-kite booth. Lady Bug Lunchbox food truck will be on site selling picnic fare.
Feel like taking a break from kite flying? Walk through the Art Park’s indoor Winner Gallery and view its current exhibition “Surface,” celebrating the contemporary work of over 20 emerging artists.
Admission is $5 per person, kids fly free. All proceeds benefit the Art Park’s art and education based programming.
Free day passes available to check-out at these participating libraries: Canastota Public Library, Cazenovia Public Library, Hamilton Public Library, Manlius Library, New Woodstock Free Library and Sullivan Free Library.
