The Cazenovia Fall Festival is just around the corner, and residents and visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy the day-long events including music, food, horse drawn hayrides, dancing and painting pumpkins on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Amble through the village filled with sounds of music performed by local musicians. The Great Pumpkin and Scarecrow Contest will be located in the heart of the festive village. The contest is open to anyone who wants to enter their scarecrow or carved pumpkin masterpiece for a chance to win prizes.
From noon to 4 p.m. at Lakeland Park there will be games, bounce houses, a rock climbing wall and The Class of 2018 fundraiser games. The Cazenovia Fire House will be serving up a chicken barbecue and ice cream, while the Rotary Club will offer hot dogs and chili. Take a stroll through the village streets to shop in the stores or at the Fall Farmer’s Market.
Celebrating the spirit of Halloween, little goblins will make masks at the Cazenovia Library and join the trick or treat parade wearing their freshly made mask or favorite Halloween costumes.
As the night falls the activities will continue with cocktails, dinner and music at St. James Church; the “Walk Among the Spirits” in Evergreen Cemetery; and a performance of “Once Upon A Mattress” at the Catherine Cummings Theater at Cazenovia College.
