Television personality Adam Richman is perhaps best known for Travel Channel’s “Man v. Food,” but this summer he will be known in Central New York as Clear Path for Veteran’s special guest.
The Red, White & Blue Barbecue is one of Clear Path for Veterans largest fundraisers of the year; proceeds from this event go to Clear Path’s Supporting the Journey Home fund which enables it to provide quality programs and services to more than 1,500 Veterans and their families each month.
This year’s event — Clear Path’s fifth annual Red, White & Blue Barbecue — will be held 3 to 7 p.m. on June 18 at Clear Path in Chittenango. General admission tickets are $70. Elite VIP Party tickets are also available for $125, which includes a meet and greet with Richman, an hour of open bar and appetizers in a private area and a special gift in addition to the barbecue.
The Red, White & Blue Barbecue will feature a special barbecue competition among local barbecue restaurants, vendors and individuals. Radio personalities and other local celebrities will co-judge the local pit master’s creations. The menu will include roast pig and other barbecued meats, side dishes made with local farmers’ products, side dishes from Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse, plus a strawberry dessert made from strawberries grown at Clear Path. Beverages available will include bourbon, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks.
Entertainment will include great music, dancing, a drag saw demonstration and a blacksmith. Guests are encouraged to visit a small-scale country store to support local craftspeople committed to producing handmade soaps, Moon Bee honey, jerky and much more.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at Clear Path, The Ridge Tavern, online at clearpath4vets.com or by calling (687-3300. This event is for guests 21 years of age or older and will be held rain or shine.
