On Aug. 1, Adam W. Berthod, 32, of 1718 County Route 37, West Monroe, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device after an investigation into a traffic stop on Downer Street for a suspicious vehicle traveling through a closed construction zone. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Sept. 7.

On Jul. 29, Joshua P. Smith, 24, of 5836 Glendora Road, Cicero, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator, backseat passenger (age 4 to 7) no/improper restraint and following too closely after an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on Downer Street. After computer checks revealed his license suspended on three separate dates he was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Aug. 24.
On Aug. 3, David C. Sutton, 33, of 2425 Warners Road, Warners, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 percent and speeding after a traffic stop on Syracuse Street for operating his motor vehicle at 45 miles per hour in the posted 30 miles per hour speed zone. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Sept. 7.
On Aug. 5, Paul Arlukiewicz, 39, of 2 Mercer St., Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment after an investigation into a domestic dispute that violated an order of protection when a female victim was threatened. He was arraigned in front of Judge Huling, who remanded him to the Onondaga County Justice Center, on bail of $5,000 cash or bond, to reappear in court on Aug. 10.
On Aug. 7, Adam Kelly, 46, of 34 Curtis Ave., Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment after an investigation into a physical altercation where a male victim was punched in the face and his phone broken after being thrown. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Aug. 24.
On Aug. 7, Dana C. Salce, 29, of 700 Danforth St., Apt. No. 1, Syracuse, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator, unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device after an investigation into a suspicious person complaint on Landrush Way. When computer checks revealed his license suspended and no ignition interlock device had been installed (despite being ordered to do so), he was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Sep. 7.
On Aug. 9, William O. Watts, 38, of 4915 West Genesee St., Camillus, was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator regarding a bench warrant issued by the Village of Baldwinsville Court on Dec. 10, 2015. He was transported from the Onondaga County Justice Center, where he was being held on unrelated charges, arraigned in front of Judge Huling, and released on his own recognizance to reappear in court on Aug. 24.
On Aug. 11, Kara A. Robichaud, 22, of 126 Liberty St., Syracuse, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, uninspected motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile device regarding a bench warrant issued by the Village of Baldwinsville Court on June 2. After a traffic stop (and arrest) by New York State Police, she was transported to the Village of Baldwinsville Police Department and arraigned in front of Judge Huling. She was remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center on a bail of $500 cash or $2,500 bond and the Town of Manlius Police Department was also notified of the transport due to their active warrant. She is scheduled to reappear in court on Aug. 24.
On Aug. 14, Preston A. Bond, 42, of 2600 Ellsworth Road, Baldwinsville, was issued a criminal summons by the Village of Baldwinsville Court on Aug. 9 charging him with second-degree harassment after an investigation into grabbing a male patron at a bar and throwing him to the ground causing a bump on his forehead and an abrasion to his face. He was released on a pre-trial release to appear in court on Aug. 24.
On Aug. 21, Nancy B. Loveland, 66, of 2046 West Genesee Road, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with five counts of petit larceny, six counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and five counts of second-degree falsifying business records after an investigation into stolen gasoline, from the village gas pump, at 29 East Oneida St. on June 12. She was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court on Sept. 7.
On Aug. 23, Gerald A. Szlamczynski, 52, of 124 Leopold Blvd., Syracuse, was issued a criminal summons by the Village of Baldwinsville Court charging him with second-degree harassment after an investigation into a physical altercation with one of the employees at the AT&T store, at 18 E. Genesee St., on Aug. 15. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sep. 7.
On Aug. 27, Christopher P. Catanzarite, 30, of 14 Chaucer Circle, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with third-degree felony criminal mischief after an investigation into a verbal altercation at his residence, where walls were punched and damaged. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Sept. 7.
On Aug. 29, Todd L. Newton, 42, of 16 ½ Railroad St., Jordan, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal contempt after an investigation into a verbal domestic incident where a stay away order of protection was violated. He was arraigned in front of Judge Huling and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center, on a bail of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond, to reappear in court on Sept. 7.
On Sept. 3, Shane F. Calkins, 22, of 6943 Canton St., Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 percent and unauthorized lights. The arrest resulted when alcohol involvement was detected after a traffic stop on Downer Street for driving with blue fog lights illuminated on the front of his vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Sept. 28.
On Sept. 3, Dale E. Calkins, 47, of 12 Tappan St., Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment after an investigation into a physical domestic dispute at his residence where the victim was grabbed by the throat and pushed to the ground. He was arraigned in front of Judge McMahon and released on his own recognizance to reappear in court on Sept. 7.
On Sept. 5, Nathaniel W. Bissell, 23, of 2272 Mott Road, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol greater than .08 percent. The arrest resulted when alcohol involvement was detected after an investigation into a motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of JP’s Tavern at 109 Syracuse St. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Sept. 28. On Sept. 19, Courtney D. House, 20, of 2287 Robinson Road, Martville, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile device when the officer noticed an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle during a traffic stop on East Genesee Street for using a mobile phone while driving. After also found to be in possession of brass knuckles, she was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court on Oct. 26.
On Sept. 21, a 17-year-old male from Baldwinsville and a 16-year-old male from Baldwinsville were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after an investigation into an odor of marijuana reported in two of the restrooms at Baker High School at 29 E. Oneida St. They were both released on appearance tickets and released to their parents to appear in court next month (on Oct. 19 and Oct. 26).
On Sept. 23, Kathleen A. Jordan, 52, of 116 Guernsey Road, Hannibal, was arrested and charged with petit larceny and third-degree identity theft after an investigation into an incident at 13 Legacy Drive on Sept. 16 and 17. The investigation found money was transferred from the victim’s bank account using the victim’s personal information without authorization. She was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court on Oct. 19.
On Sept. 26, a 16-year-old male from Baldwinsville was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after an investigation into a student with marijuana-laced brownies at Baker High School at 29 E. Oneida St. He was released on an appearance ticket to a parent to appear in court on Oct. 26.
On Sept. 26, two juveniles were arrested and charged with petit larceny after an investigation into stolen merchandise from Rite Aid at 113 Downer St. They were released to their parent/guardians with the case forwarded to youth court to appear at a later date.
On Sept. 26, a juvenile was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief after an investigation into recklessly damaged property at 6 Lock St. on Aug. 19. The juvenile was released to his mother with the case forwarded to youth court to appear at a later date.
On Sept. 28, Joshua P. Smith, 25, of 5828 Glendora Road, Cicero, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, following too closely and no child restraint regarding an arrest warrant issued by the Village of Baldwinsville Court on Sept. 15. He was arraigned in front of Judge Huling and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center on bail of $500 cash or $2,500 bond, to reappear in court on Oct. 5.
On Sept. 28, Dana C. Salce, 29, of 129 Shotwell Park, Syracuse, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, no interlock device, unregistered motor vehicle and unlicensed operator regarding an arrest warrant issued by the Village of Baldwinsville Court on Sept. 22. He was arraigned in front of Judge Huling and released on his own recognizance to reappear in court on Oct. 26.
On Sept. 30, Andrew J. Low, 27, of 6 Candlelight Lane, Apt. F, Liverpool, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 percent, aggravated driving while intoxicated and failed to keep right when alcohol involvement was detected after a traffic stop on East Genesee Street for swerving and crossing the double yellow line twice. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Oct. 19.
On Oct. 2, Stephen J. Aiken, 59, of 725 Church Road, Baldwinsville, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 percent, aggravated driving while intoxicated, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and drove across hazard markings when alcohol involvement was detected after a traffic stop on Oswego Street for crossing the fog line several times. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Oct. 19.
On Oct. 4, Timothy J. Szarek, 32, of 5600 Newport Road, Warners, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, failed to dim headlights, improper lane, drove to left of pavement markings, failed to yield right of way to emergency vehicle and passing a stop sign twice when alcohol involvement was detected after a traffic stop on Oswego Street for driving with high beam headlights (passing oncoming traffic) while driving through a turn-only lane intersection. As police approached the vehicle he drove off and refused to stop until pulling into a driveway where he attempted to flee on foot. After being transported to Upstate Hospital by ambulance he was released on his own recognizance, to appear in court on Nov. 9.
On Oct. 6, Nicholas Martino, 20, of 106 Bump Drive, Syracuse, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after an investigation into two suspicious vehicles parked in Lions Park where he was found to be in possession of marijuana and smoking paraphernalia. He was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court on Nov. 9.
On Oct. 7, Vincent M. Cappettelli, 53, of 516 Beech St., Fulton, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 percent and speed in zone when alcohol involvement was detected after a traffic stop on Oswego Street for speeding. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Oct. 26.
On Oct. 7, James T. Button, 31, of 238 W. Fifth St., Apt. 2, Fulton, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unsafe turn and no muffler after a traffic stop on East Genesee Street for driving with an inadequate muffler while making an unsafe turn. After computer checks revealed his license suspended, he was released on his own recognizance to appear in court on Nov. 9.
On Oct. 8, Frederick J. Maroney, 50, of 9 Hickory Road, Schroeppel, and charged with fourth-degree stalking after an investigation into a domestic incident where the victim received more than 79 unwanted text messages after a no-contact request. He was arraigned in front of Judge McMahon and released on his own recognizance to reappear in court on Oct. 8.
On Oct. 10, a juvenile was arrested and charged with petit larceny after an investigation into a stolen bicycle from Baker High School at 29 E. Oneida St. on Oct. 1. After procession, the juvenile was released to his mother with the case forwarded to youth court to appear at a later date.
