The Lysander Town Clerk’s office is holding a pet supplies drive to benefit the CNY SPCA through the month of September.
“Working in the clerk’s office you hear a lot about what goes on in the community,” Town Clerk Dina Falcone said. “When I found out what happened with the SPCA … I felt like the animals were losing out.”
Falcone said residents can register or renew their dog’s license, sign up for an E-ZPass or take care of other matters at the town clerk’s office while dropping off their donations.
“I think it’s a perfect opportunity to help the animals,” Falcone said.
If you are unable to drop off items but wish to donate, call the town clerk’s office to make arrangements for pickup.
Wish list items include:
• dry and canned food for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and rabbits
• toys, treats and beds for cats and dogs
• gently used blankets (twin or smaller) and towels
• clay cat litter (non-clumping)
• small litter boxes
• garbage bags (regular and heavy duty)
• Clorox bleach and wipes
• office supplies
