Voters this year will be making some very important decisions. Not only will they be choosing the next president, but all 435 House seats and 34 Senate seats are also up for election on Nov. 8.
With that date fast approaching, the Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) wants to make sure that you have the information you need about registration and voting deadlines, campaign issues, facts about the candidates, and links to a variety of news sources providing election coverage.
NOPL’s new online Voter Toolkit connects you to quality resources as you consider which candidates you will cast your ballot for.
The Voter Toolkit includes:
- Links to nonprofit and nonpartisan organizations that provide election and voting information
- Resources for fact-checking statements made by candidates and the media
- Access to information about campaign finance
- State and local election links
- Websites to educate children about the election
- News and analysis from various media outlets with different perspectives
