“Surf Shack” is the theme for this year’s Vacation Bible School at Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church. It’s all free, including daily snacks and a family picnic, and it starts on Monday, Aug. 15.
Each day next week, from 9 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., children entering kindergarten through sixth grade can learn about God’s love through games, stories, puppets, songs and crafts. At 11:30 a.m. on Friday, there will be a closing ceremony and a free picnic for family and friends.
Because of the surf theme, children are encouraged to wear colorful, flowery, “beachy” shirts. Donations toward the VBS Mission Project for 2016 can be child-size socks for the church’s sneaker giveaway or non-perishable food items for the Baldwinsville Food Pantry.
For information or to pre-register, call 635-6442. You may also register your children at the church, 17 W. Genesee St., at the beginning of any day next week, Monday through Friday.
