To the editor:
The Town of Manlius election is Tuesday Nov. 7. Ed Theobald is asking voters to re-elect him for the position of town supervisor. The residents of the town of Manlius have an opportunity to vote for a supervisor that has the experience, knowledge, expertise, energy and hard work ethic to lead the town of Manlius for years to come.
I have known Ed for more than 25 years and he is a good friend that I respect and trust. Ed has done a remarkable job during his tenure as our town supervisor. He has worked diligently to keep an open line of communication with all the residents. He is always available to all his constituents regardless of the time of day. Ed is always advocating on behalf of the town of Manlius. Ed started years ago meeting once a month with myself, along with Mayor Olson and Mayor Whorrall to keep updated with the issues facing us in our villages. This allows Ed to understand what is going on throughout the town.
In this new era of local government a leader needs to work with all levels of government, county, state and federal, in order to accomplish projects , no matter what party they belong to. Today we are faced with many challenges from the state and continued pressure from our governor and county executive to consolidate our form of government. Town supervisors are very important positions that need to be filled with knowledgeable people that understand the problems we face every day. Ed Theobald is the supervisor that understands and has reacted to many of these issues.
I know when Ed is re-elected he will continue to make decisions that will move our town forward. There is no official that I know of that works harder than Ed Theobald. I urge all residents of the town of Manlius to vote for Ed Theobald.
Bill Brazill, Mayor
