To the editor:
As Cazenovia town supervisor, I urge the voters of Cazenovia to support the re-election of both Kristi Andersen and Pat Race for Cazenovia Town Board.
Since first elected in 2005, Kristi has had responsibility for overseeing the Cazenovia Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals. As such, she is the point person for any changes in the town zoning laws. She is also the town’s representative to the Cazenovia Area Community Development Association (CACDA). In that role, she has helped secure $175,000 in grants for the Mount Pleasant Water District. Kristi chairs the committee that is working with the village to study the possibility of consolidating the town and village.
Pat Race works closely with the highway department. Through his guidance, the town instituted an equipment replacement program that is the envy of highway departments all over the state. The has cut the town’s equipment repair bill significantly.
On the lake, Pat was the one that brought the Renovate treatment program from the lake association to the town board. Pat also pushed the board to start a weed harvesting program for the lake. He has always been a strong supporter of programs to improve the health of the lake.
These two individuals bring knowledge and experience to all their work on the town board. They both think “outside the box” to come up with innovative ideas to solve the problems facing the town.
With the re-election of Kristi and Pat, the town will be well served. As one person familiar with the work of Kristi and Pat asked me, “Why not keep the ‘A’ team?” Please give your support to Kristi Andersen and Pat Race on election day.
Bill Zupan, supervisor
Town of Cazenovia
