To the editor:
Town of Manlius residents have an outstanding candidate for town supervisor in November: Nancy Durkin.
Nancy’s involvement and devotion to this town is impressive. She has lived and worked in the Town of Manlius for 35 years. In addition to being a teacher for 34 of those years, she also served as teacher union president and PerDiem Professional Association president. She has been on the board of the Fayetteville Free Library and the Greater Manlius Chamber of Commerce, and she is currently chair of the Fayetteville-Manlius A Better Chance (ABC) Program.
Nancy is smart, personable, passionate and honest. She sees potential in the Town of Manlius and loves and respects the wonderful people who live here. Nancy believes that everyone has a voice and we all deserve to be heard. I know that she will work tirelessly for a better future for all of us.
This is an exciting time for the Town of Manlius. We have the power to elect candidates who will make positive changes in our local government. That is why I will be voting for Nancy Durkin for town supervisor.
