LIVERPOOL — We’ve reached double-digits on the March calendar. Yes, Tax Day is creeping up on us.
As April 15 approaches, there are several ways for Liverpool Public Library patrons to get their numbers in order to send off to the IRS and New York State.
A big rack in our lobby contains the most popular forms needed to complete the federal and state income tax requirements, complete with instruction booklets. No appointment is needed to enter on the Tulip Street side of the building during our business hours to choose the forms you need.
Those who have a printer at home can locate the Tax Form page on our website (lpl.org/explore/services/tax-forms). Links are provided to get to federal forms and the state site.
You can also make an LPL Express Visit one-hour appointment to use a computer in our main room to print forms yourself, or a Grab It & Go appointment to pick up specific forms. Call us at 315-457-0310 or email [email protected] to order specific forms, and a staffer will get in touch to let you know when you can come to pick them up. Some forms are also available on a rack for Grab It & Go patrons using the garage to pick up their holds.
We’ll print tax forms free, but we are unable to print instruction booklets. Instead, they can be accessed electronically on our website. The instruction book for the State IT-291 form can be checked out as part of our Lucky Day collection.
If you seek tax preparation advice, the tax form website page also links to additional resources.
Speaking of the Grab It & Go service in our underground garage, the book drop located on the left side after you pull in is now open to receive the materials you’d like to return. You don’t have to leave anything on the tables where the holds await in the brown paper bags, please and thank you.
