The PEACE Senior Nutrition Program is providing a Harvest Turkey Lunch at noon Friday Nov. 17 at Canton Woods. You must make a reservation by Nov. 3; call today — (315) 638-4536.
Rescue Mission Home Delivered Holiday Meals. The Rescue Mission provides home delivered meals for seniors on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If you are interested in a free home delivered meal on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day, please call Canton Woods Outreach workers. This meal is for the elderly and/or homebound individuals. The recipient must be home on Thanksgiving /Christmas Day to receive the meal. Deadlines are as follows: for Thanksgiving your reservation and information must be to the Outreach workers by Nov. 6 and for Christmas Day by Dec. 4. Please call (315) 638-4536.

The Baldwinsville Community Band will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Canton Woods. This concert is free and open to the public.
Art Group will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 14 and 28. This group is facilitated by retired B’ville Art Teacher, Mike Conway. The Art Group focuses on drawing and painting. Bring your sketchbook and art supplies.
Canton Woods Book Club will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 21. They will be discussing “Wish You Well,” by David Baldacci. Get reading and join the lively discussion.
DATE CHANGE: Emergency Preparedness Presentation will be held at 3 p.m. Nov. 27 at Canton Woods. This is a free training course which provides an introduction to responding to a natural or manmade disaster. The course instructor is Staff Sargent Duane Morgan. Active Older Adult Exercise lead by a Y instructor has resumed for the fall season. This class is every Tuesday and Thursday. There is a fee for this class payable to the instructor.
Falls Prevention Class returns to Canton Woods after the fall break. This is a free class taught by a licensed physical therapist. Class is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday.
Senior Nutrition. You can enjoy lunch at the center. Canton Woods is a senior nutrition lunch site on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Make a reservation at (315) 638-4536 and stop by at noon for lunch. The nutrition program is open to anyone 60 years of age and older. Suggested donation is $3.
Wondering what’s for lunch? On Wednesday, Nov. 8, the menu includes slow cooked pork and gravy, homestyle mashed potatoes, four-way mixed vegetables and applesauce. Make a reservation and join us for lunch!
