Bad weather and poor health have distracted me from my duties, but things are improving so I’m back to give you the update on book business at the library in May.
The Mystery Book Club has moved up to 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, this month to accommodate the spring book sale, but there is still time to stop in and grab a copy of “The Girl on the Train,” by Paula Hawkins. Take the chance to read and discuss this twisty thriller full of unreliable characters before it lands in the theaters in October. Books for Breakfast meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, to visit the soil of occupied France in WW II through the eyes of two very different sisters.
In between these two literary explorations take the chance to arm yourself for rainy weekends and summer days in the hammock at our spring book sale. The sale begins Thursday, May 12, and ends Monday, May 16, running during library hours. Thursday and Friday (May 12 and 13) are full-price days, Saturday (May 14) is half-price day, Sunday and Monday (May 15 and 16) are bag days and we provide the bags.
Come early and come often; it’s a great chance to stock up on books, music and movies for the whole family.
