Lillis Cora (Mosher) Buss, 96, of Erieville, left us after a long fulfilling life on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022. She was born into the farming life on Nov. 10, 1925, in Fenner to Emine Bey and Anna Mae Hatch Mosher. After graduating from Cazenovia High School, Lillis completed her training in nursing from Crouse Irving Hospital and continued her career as a registered nurse at Sunnyside Care Center in East Syracuse. During this time, she met the love of her life and married Donald H. Buss who was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. She and her husband created a loving family over the years that are left with beautiful memories of their childhood. Her sense of caring as a nurse was carried throughout her life showing love for all of God’s creatures both big and small. At the age of 65 she learned to swim and joined a swim group at Cazenovia College where she acquired many friends. In her free time, Lillis enjoyed cross stitching, calligraphy, playing the organ and knitting.
