CAZENOVIA — Cazenovia College faculty member and Syracuse-area attorney Stewart Weisman will address an audience of attorneys and legal staff members at a national webinar on Tuesday, June 15 hosted by National Business Institute (NBI). His focus will be on the ethical navigation of electronic communication and ways to safeguard clients’ electronic information.
The NBI webinar is titled, “E-mails, Texting, and the Rules of Ethics: What Could Go Wrong?”
Weisman is co-presenting with Gail L. Ritzert, a partner in the New York office of the law firm of Kiernan Trebach, LLP. He will be discussing two topics, “Ethically Sending and Accessing E-mails,” and “Phishing Attempts and Cyber Attacks.”
The session is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Eastern Time.
Weisman, who resides in Manlius, has been a Cazenovia College faculty member for nearly 20 years. He also chairs the college’s division of social & behavioral sciences, serves as a professor of criminal justice and homeland security studies, and teaches Constitutional law and risk management courses to cadets at the college’s police academy.
Outside of the college, Weisman is a federal mediation panel member, counsel to healthcare law firm Hancock, Daniel & Johnson, P.C., and a director on the boards of the Legal Aid Society and Legal Services of Central New York. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Brooklyn College and his juris doctorate degree from the Syracuse University College of Law.
