Cazenovia College is closely monitoring the coronavirus situation and out of an abundance of caution, the college is extending Spring Break until March 22. During this added week off, the college will prepare for the possibility of transitioning to remote delivery for both undergraduate and graduate instruction, should it become necessary.
Cazenovia College students will not be allowed to return to campus on Sunday, March 15. Instead, they are being asked to remain home. There will be no classes the week of March 16 through March 20. Course instruction will resume on March 23 either in person or via an online platform depending on how the coronavirus situation progresses.
“The uncertainty of the pandemic is unsettling for everyone, particularly our close campus community,” noted Ron Chesbrough, president of the College. “The health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and local community is of critical importance. We are carefully and continually monitoring and adjusting how to best operate under this rapidly changing environment.”
In an announcement issued March 15, the collegesaid it will be making the move to online instruction.
As result of the coronavirus pandemic, Cazenovia College will commence with remote instruction starting Monday, March 23.
The college previously announced the extension of spring break until March 22. During the extended spring break week, college faculty and staff are preparing for remote delivery for both undergraduate and graduate instruction.
