Diverse topics include Obamacare, The Future of Europe, Native Americans and Politics
The fifteenth annual Wheler Family Conference on World Affairs will take place Wednesday, October 5, on the Cazenovia College campus with the concurrent morning sessions beginning at 10:10 a.m.
Funded through the generosity of the Gordon and Barbara Wheler family, this year’s conference is “On Politics.”
Today, ‘politics’ is usually considered in terms of electoral politics; however, political scientists define the term much more broadly—as actions that directly influence governing. Thus, “politics” is at the heart of every discipline and every business, as this year’s wide choice of panelists clearly reflects. They include Karen Friedman Agnifilo, Manhattan’s chief assistant district attorney; Arnaud Blin of the French Institute for Strategic Analysis; and Betty Lyons, president and executive director, American Indian Law Alliance.
All sessions are free and open to the public, more information may be found at www.cazenovia.edu/wheler.
