Cazenovia Central School District residents approved three ballot propositions, including the annual budget, by a 5-to-1 margin each and elected three new school board members during the annual budget vote on May 19.
The district’s $26 million budget for the 2015-16 school year was approved by a vote of 525 to 109. The proposition to purchase three new school buses for the district was approved 541 to 98, and the proposition to fund the Cazenovia and New Woodstock libraries was approved 519 to 122.
“We appreciate the support of the community for the budget and for education in general, and we’re excited to welcome three new members to the board,” said Superintendent matt Reilly.

Parmalee also said she was excited to be elected. “I’m excited to begin,” she said. “I’m looking forward to learning all the ins and outs and working to get us to a place of extraordinary. I think we can totally get there.”
