Audrey “Susie” Crook, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse to Richard and Luella Perrin and was a long-time resident of Baldwinsville.
Susie was an avid runner and folks would often see her running in the village training for the next race. She was a member of the Syracuse Chargers running team and qualified for the Boston marathon twice, was nationally ranked in the 5K, won the 10-mile Mountain Goat race for her age group and ran many B’ville Turkey Trots.
Susie and her husband, Dick, and brother Mark Perrin opened the Bikery in 1973 and are celebrating 50 years in business. They were located at the four corners in Baldwinsville for 25 years and moved to VanBuren Road.
Susie loves animals and she and Dick cared for several feral cats at the Bikery over the years. Susie and Dick enjoyed many years at their cottage in Henderson Harbor where they would spend time with good friends biking, boating and partying.
Susie is predeceased by her parents, brother, Randy Perrin, sister-in-law Betsy Perrin and brother-in-law Ken Crawmer.
Susie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dick Crook, siblings, Richard (Linda) Perrin, James Perrin, Linda (Donald) Carpenter, Mark (Laurie) Perrin, sister-in-law Sharon Crawmer and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday, April 21, at Falardeau Funeral Home in Baldwinsville. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery.
