Gerald L. Chesebro, 81, of Beaver Creek Road, Brookfield, passed away March 28, 2023, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Utica.
He was born July 6, 1941, in the town of Sangerfield, a son of Lyle and Mary Grace Card Chesebro and was a graduate of Brookfield High School. For over 40 years, Gerald worked for Hamilton Pharmaceutical in Hamilton (which became West Agro) until retiring. He was a beekeeper who operated 3Seasons Honey. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Karen Chesebro of Cape Fair, MO; a nephew, Michael Chesebro and his family of Laramie, WY; a niece, Lori Kelson and her family of Hollister, MO; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Lyle and Mary Grace Card Chesebro, his brother Murray Chesebro and niece Sandra Haase.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, in the Brookfield Rural Cemetery. To honor Gerry, please wear flannel or camouflage. Gathering to follow services to TBD, please bring a dessert to pass.
