Dorothy Lewis, 90 of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Erieville, N.Y., passed away peacefully Jan. 7, 2022, with her family at her side.
Dorothy worked for Merchants Bank for 20 years. After she retired she enjoyed quilting and traveling with her late husband, Bryant Lewis, Jr., of of 61years together, making so many friends along the way.
Her true joy was with her family. Dorothy is survived by her three children, Bryant (Elizabeth) Lewis III of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Jeffrey (Sara) Lewis of Sarasota, FL, and Dorothy (Michael) Shue of Sherrill, N.Y., Her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who “loved” their “Gramma Dots,” in addition to her sister Beverly Burns, and her children and an abundance of friends.
We will all miss her more than words can say. There are no services. A private family gathering will be held in the spring. Contributions can be made in memory of Dorothy Lewis to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
