Gregory (Greg) Knupp, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 2, 2021. Greg is survived by his wife, Cori and his three sons – Christopher, Peter and Trevor as well as his siblings: Gary Knupp, Michael Knupp (and his wife Mary Lynn), Anne Crossway (and her husband Tom) and several nieces and nephew.
He was predeceased by his father, Samuel Knupp, his mother Bohemia Knupp, his brother Jeffrey Knupp and brother Robert Knupp.
Greg was born in DeRuyter, and loved playing baseball. He attended and graduated from Binghamton University, where he met his wife, Cori. They married in 1988 and in 1990 moved to Skaneateles, where they have lived since. Greg became a financial planner and enjoyed interacting with his many clients.
Their three children, Christopher, Peter and Trevor, were born in Skaneateles. Greg loved his sons and took pride in being involved in their activities, including coaching their basketball, soccer and baseball teams when they were young. Greg would beam with pride at every basket, goal and hit they made.
Greg enjoyed golf and family volleyball games, as well as other games with his family. He loved to laugh and make jokes that were known throughout the family. Family holidays were known for Greg coming up with jokes that had everyone laughing. Greg loved getting together with friends, listening to club music and playing cards. Besides spending time with his family, he loved watching football and eating Buffalo wings with both of his dogs seated right next to him on the couch!
Due to COVID-19, services will be private. Greg will be buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Skaneateles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue at helpinghoundsdogrescue.org or at 7268 Caswell Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
